Winter fuel payments and Pension Credit

The rules for receiving a Winter Fuel Payment have changed.

This winter you will only be entitled to a Winter Fuel Payment if you receive a means tested benefit such as Pension Credit.

• If you were born before 23 September 1958 you could get between £100 and £300 to help with your heating bills this winter.
• You must have claimed pension credit or another eligible benefit in the week 16 to 22 September this year.
